Hello All,I have had my 5th wheel for a few years now. I signed up for a good sams discount card $25 (a year thing).So now I get all the wonderful junk mail. Yesterday I opened the envolope from them and I say it looked interesting. So I thought I might call them and see about getting a qoute. So it is Saturday and the wife and I was talking about it. We both love AAA and never ever had problems with them even on Highway 50 in Nevada when we were broke down. So I was going to post a question on the forum and found this sub category. Man I am really glad I did. I noticed every one fell back on AAA. So much for looking to save money. I will keep my AAA.good Sam's better get it together if they want my money. For now Good Sams no thank you.

It's my opinion that those of us that have had good results with Good Sam Roadside Assistance tend not to post. On the other hand, those with grips and bad service do post.I have Good Sam Roadside Assistance and have used them twice. Both satisfactory.

I agree rv2go even the ones that has never had it.

You can go on line to your GS account and opt out of mailings.AAA doesn't cover RV's in all places.Do a google search on AAA rv service.http://www.aaa.com/aaa/001/benefits.htmAAA good for up to a 100 mile tow. GS to a shop no matter the distance.That $25 card also gets you a discount at Pilot/Flying J.

I have used it about 3 or 4 times over the years, never had a problem!

Good point Triker23 but what good if they say they can't get a tow truck like the one post I saw?

We had AAA for over 30 years and finally switched to GS when AAA said they might tow our truck with the truck camper but would not tow our boat and trailer if we broke down. They also stated that their policies on towing varied depending on what state you are in when you need service. We didn't want to take the risk of being in a state where the service might not meet our needs.

As for GS road assistance we have only used it once when we came out of a restaurant one night and found we had a flat tire on my wife's SUV. They responded quickly, changed the tire and put the flat tire in the back of the SUV.
