Thank you GS Roadside Assistance

this morning my DS headed out of town to pet/house sit for his uncle. After he got 8-10 miles out of town, he had a blowout in his car. He was able to safely pull into driveway of closed business. He attempted to change tire, but the "not so heavy duty wrench" that came with the car was not up to removing lug nuts put on by impact wrench, so he had to call for help. He called GS and they promptly called him back stating it could be 60 minutes before the repair folks could get there. Less than 5 minutes after the call from GS, the shop called to confirm his location on highway. In less than 15 minutes they were there, changed the tire, and aired up the spare as it was flat (10 year old car with never used spare). He had driven the car to get a new tire, and we had gone to lunch when GS called him back again to check on him -- about the time the 60 minutes was up. Good job Good Sam and good job to our local shop for getting there so quickly. That one trip paid for my years dues, even at the platinum level.

  • Well, I have to say Thank You also to the GS Roadside Assistance. Our Class C broke down on I90 just outside Springfield MA. A lot of wait time to get it resolved but all the same, they provide us the tow and a place to take it back to Springfield for repair. Our Class C just did not like that steep ascend to the 1745 foot mark on I90 and the damage is a new transmission. I have to leave it in Springfield until it gets fix and fly back to Springfield later to pick it back up and hope it can climb that hill again.
  • I have Good Sam Platinum+ Roadside Assistance, will this cover my car dolly, and the car on the dolly if I have problems?
  • Good to hear nice reports.Personally I'm over a grand in the hole,paid and never used it yet,but it's nice to have when the time does comes.
  • It's good that you recognized the provider as well since they play a major roll in the quality of service and response time too. I don't leave home without it. (GS/ERS)
