I think that most of the Roadside Assistance companies (Goodsam/Coachnet/AAA) use the same group of independent contractors. When we used Honda RA last year in FL, the first time the truck had AAA decals on it, the next time it was another independent tow truck. Same story in Ontario. For CharlesK, yes 12-14 CRVs were known to have battery/charging issues.
The Good Sam dispatcher may have dropped the ball, by failing to provide follow-up calls to insure that the contractor did make it to the customer.

All the Roadside Assistance companies work with the same group of companies - but not everyone has contracts with everyone, and they have different relationships with each one.
I own a garage and talked with the owner of a large towing company about Roadside Assistance. There are some companies that he really liked dealing with - organized, paid a bonus for quickly getting to a customer, etc. Some he hated and always prioritized lower because they just didn't pay/incent as much.
If you are running a tow truck and you get two calls, one which gives you a bonus for getting there quick, which is your priority going to be?
After all that I ended up going with coach-net.
