Thinking about joining Good Sam for my bus conversion

I am moving my converted bus if I get this job.. I will drive it 300 miles and I want to have that safe feeling when I drive it. knowing I can get it towed or get assistance if needed. I don't plan on breaking down. but I had a real bad time driving from NC to Utah and broke down in Wyoming and no one wold stop or care.. even the state police passed me by.. I don't want to ever go through that again ever. will Good Sam help? I am thinking of getting the "platinum package" whadoyathink?

    I hang at flyinggiants mostly.

I love giant scale RC planes. I have a 60 size helicopter that I don't want to crash. So it sits on my mantle. I am thinking of getting a quadcopter I like those. but I am trying to finish my latest RC research Submarine.

  • You are into RC? I love submarines. Yes I want peace of mind exactly. If I take that job. i will take one rig with me.
  • Sounds like you have this one in much better shape.
Many of us have roadside assistance for the piece of mind.
    Good luck on your trip.

  • no I don't expect anything to be "free" but I want to be assured I won't be stranded on the road for 18 fricken hours...
I have three rigs. the one I was talking about last year I have sold. now I have three converted buses, in different stages. a Western Flyer a Flxible and an RTS. The RTS has a lot of room and will use it to move my stuff to my new location. and as I said when you are stuck on the side of the road for 18 hours... and no help.. it makes you want to get any preventative help that you can get. So if I had Good Sam,,, I can at least get the thing off the road if something did happen. I have 15.000 miles on the engine and transmission I changed all the hoses and hose clamps changed filters and fluids tires are next and I am sure that it iwll be more than okay for a 300 mile trip since i drove it 2000 miles to get it home when I bought it. the Flxible will be next as it was driven 2500 miles to get it home and the only thing that happened on that trip was it ran out of diesel. The hoses and all will be changed next week. I just don't want to be stranded . I do NOT expect that Good Sam will fix mmy bus/motorhome for free. If you got that idea I didn't mean to mislead. just wondered if it would help me out in regards to towing and that kind of thing.
  • I think I can't believe you still own this rig after your first posts last year. :)

Are you thinking using Good Sam Roadside Assistance will be free no matter what type of trouble you have?
