Honestly, how often have you used the towing policy? If you have paid $100-150 a year, think how many times you've used it, can how much it would have cost to pay the tow bill yourself? Probably much cheaper to drop it and self insure for tow coverage. Tow bills are pretty minor expenses, $150-200?
Insurance on things like cars, and houses make sense, the expense to repair/raplace those would be a hardship, but a tow bill probably would not adversely affect you.
