Transfer insurance

I just picked up GS RV mecancal breakdown insurance on our RV a few months ago before our factory warranty expired in April. We decided to trade in our vetch for a new RV that has a one year factory warranty . My question is should I totally cancel my policy and buy a new one after my one year warranty is up? Or will my present GS kick in after my one year manufactures warranty is up? If it's dule coverage it's a waste. I'd rater get a refund.
