Transfer case

Im receiving a code stating my transfer case module need to be replaced. I replaced it. However the problem was not solved. I was told the module needed to be programmed. I took it to a shop, they said they programmed it but that didn't solve the problem. They told me the transfer case would need to be replaced. I told them I could pay the thousands of dollars for the repair. He then said they was able to do something to the transmission where the vehicle appeared to run normal. The 4x4 light and the 4wheel drive light is still on but its not making noises and driving rough. I don't know what to believe. Should I get a new transfer case or can someone give me some advice on what to do. The vehicle is a 2019 jeep grand cherokee with only a 100,000 miles

Well this is a RV forum, about 99th out of the top 100 internet places to get advice about the transfer case in your Jeep.
But before you go to other sources or stay here,  post everything you know.

    what code(s)?

what t case is it? There’s 2 different if you’re not aware

    Detailed symptoms.
(was it stuck in 4wd or not, history, conditions when it started, what did YOU do to cause this potentially, what maint has been done, etc)

They did not do anything to the transmission to make this go away. Rest assured. Or it’s not the transfer case that is the issue. Although the 8HP is pretty bulletproof

And please get the actual reasons from the shop. “they said it needed replaced” is as vague as can be.

    Good luck.
