Troubling pattern w/Pilot/Flying J

We have the RV Plus Card and just recently had them reissue us a new GS Lifetime Card with the swipe feature on it. Didn't take hte RV Plus Card with us on a recent trip and took only the GS card. Stopped at a Pilot in Columbia, SC, right off I-26. Swiped my GS card and it said to see the cashier. I initially thought, I was going to have an issue that others claimed. I decided it wasn't worth the 3 cents/gallon to go in for. So I exited out and swiped my debit card. It then asked me to swipe my rewards card. So I swiped my GS card and it took the 3 cents off. Does it a little different than some other gas station loyalty cards I use, but it worked. My only complaint is that like all the other gas stations (except flying J), they stopped me at $75.00. The one good thing at the RV lane at Flying J is that it kept on pumping. At least with my RV Plus card. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
