Unable to receive local assistance

When we had a flat on our Class A (roofing nail in tread), it was a nightmare. Long story short, it happened at 2:30 p.m. and we finally got it changed at 9:30 that night. (GS) We found out that there was a Michelin tire center 22 miles away in Deland, FL. Boulevard Tire has multiple locations all over the state of Florida. They do not contract with Good Sam because of payment issues in the past. But if we had called them, they would have dispatched a truck to us. The driver would have removed, patched and plugged the tire and we would have been back on the road in about 45 minutes. Their mobile trucks can change all 18 tires on a big truck if necessary. Cost for our one tire? $75. The tab on our little deal was over $300. And we went to their tire center that night and boondocked on their lot. In the morning, they removed the faulty used tire the guy had put on and fixed our tire and put it back on where it ran for another 40,000 miles. So when we need a tire fixed, in Florida anyway, we will call around first and see if we can get it fixed before calling our service.
