Unreliable trip planning.

Used trip planning for trip from Iowa to Texas. Tried to stop at "Quail Ridge RV Park" at Bethany, Mo for overnight per trip planner. This is the worst possible dump in the worst possible location and the power there is only 90 volts.Good Sam says 30/50 amp. 50 amp plug only gives 90 volts, 30 amp plug just kicks the Surge Guard off. Has anyone from Good Sam ever looked at the parks they rate? Meanwhile, just 16 miles north, one of the nicest parks you will ever find Eagle Ridge RV Park, is not even shown. Maybe their bribe was not high enough.

Good Sam only rates the park a 3 out of 10. That alone should be a clue.

3.0 for facility 4.5 for appeal. That tells me not to expect much but I did expect a satisfactory place for a quick overnight, but not a place with 0.0 appeal and power that would burn out an air conditioner and who knows what else.

  • rv parks reviews can be very deceiving.
sorry you got ripped by the trip planner.
  • We have found in the past, that it's best to find an RV park in the area we plan to be, then go in to find reviews on the park (xxx park, reviews in google). Those reports/reviews seem to be a lot more up to date and reliable than many of the publications. Sorry you had such a bad experience.....It's NOT fun!
