What is the purpose of Good Sam Roadside Assistance?

That's an excellent question: what is being done to prevent another similar situation? I know things sometimes don't work the way they're supposed to, but that's scary! We've had Good Sam Platinum ERS for three years, but have never needed it.

Can I be confident it will be there when we need it?
