What the....?

Just referred a friend last week after I joined a week prior to that. So i FINALLY get my membership stuff in the mail and inside the book it says you can refer a friend for a free night of camping. So i call and they say they cant honor that because it had to be done at the time he signed up. The operator i talked to said the cashier was supposed to ask or have them tell the cashier. BTW, no one asked me either. Anyway, i couldnt get through her skull that I didnt even know this yet because i hadnt received the book i just read telling me i could get credit for referring. So she then goes on to tell me shes not giving me a years membership for free. What the???? I wasnt even asking about that. Good grief. Looks like i wont be referring anymore anytime soon. And to think of all the high praises i gave it for my first week or two into it.
