There is not a lock on the generator slide and it's powered by the same pump that operate your slides... near the steps. It sounds to me that the 12V solenoid valve is not energizing. You can follow the hoses from the generator slide to which valve on the valve body operates that slide. Check for 12V when someone else tries to open the gen slide. If you have 12V then ohm the 12V coil... probably 10-15 ohms. If all of this checks out I would then try tapping on the valve body with a small hammer while someone tries to move it in/out.
You may be able to get the solenoid coil from Monaco 877-466-6226 and they will ask for the last 6 of your vin.
On the other forum one person told me this: Trash will get into the lock valve and the slide will not go in or out or it will slowly drift out. I just take the hydraulic block off, disassemble and clean, reinstall and it will work.
When you take the block off unscrew both fittings, under one fitting there is a small shuttle lock valve. If it is stuck you can use compressed air to get it out.
Now if I can just find the things he's talking about. I think I've found the block he's talking about. I sent him a message and picture for more help.
