'06 Winnebago View air suspension

what chassis is this on? my old P-30/32 chassis had front air bags with the valves.

I don't believe it was OE on the MB/Freightliner/Dodge Sprinter chassis.

So, added by coach maker or previous owner.

It's a Dodge Sprinter chassis...

It is the same: MB=Freightliner=Dodge

All the MB Sprinter chassis with different badging re-assembled in Gaffney SC.

And, until you get information to the contrary, determine correct RIDE HEIGHT and inflate bags to achieve that ride height. There will also be a minimum PSI to keep the bags-- check with bag manufacturer or the company that put together the air bag kit.

Our Firestone bags call for 20# min and 100# max. Basically, we have just tried different pressures and seem to settle on 55#. Some people measure ground clearance unloaded and then set pressures after loading the RV to achieve that same clearance.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll take possession next weekend and will take pressure readings when I get it home. Maybe there'll be some documentation with the various manuals I'll be getting.
If they're not original equipment, a previous owner must have thought it was worth the expense to install them.

Winnebago added these air bags to the vehicle. The bags themselves are made by Firestone, but cannot be purchased from them. The entire kit is made by 3T's RV In Lake Havasu, AZ. http://www.3tsrv.com/index.html

The bags indeed have a max pressure of 100 psi and generally need 40 to 50 psi for normal loads and driving. You should keep some pressure in them at all times or it will damage the bags. Given the age of the bags, they are probably bad. If they don't hold air, 3T sells only the bags including the Schrader valve and tubing as a replacement kit. I replaced both of mine about two years ago.

Properly inflated bags make a huge difference in the way this vehicle drives, if they don't hold air, get them fixed.

The 06 View brochure shows aux air springs as an option and it looks like that option was paired with alloy wheels. I have an 06 Winn Aspect and it had the same option. Mine are Firestone and as previously posted they are supposed to run from 20-100 psi.

It’s a nice option along with the Alcoa wheels!
