12 volt tv's for bedroom.

So i am in the process of running the new HDMI cable so my DT receiver and (new) splitter are on the same page. The TV in the bedroom is coax only. Anyway going to have to

change the tv in the bedroom and it is 12 volt and the inverter does not supply power to a plug there. Jensen is a popular brand. I am restricted to a small space.

Anyway the brands offered are unfamiliar to me. Jensen is pricy, alternatives?

  • I bought (on Amazon)an 18.5 inch LED 12v / 110V RCA brand TV with a built in DVD player. I ran a 12V outlet to the bedroom that is hooked directly(with a fuse) to my two 6V golf cart batteries. I also use the 12V power outlet for my C-PAP machine. Why use the inverter for a 12V TV if you need to change 12V to 110V and then back to 12V again? My house batteries are located in a compartment under the wardrobe so the wire was not very long. Good Luck.
  • You mean you have to change the TV because it's coax? Jensen is not popular.. it's junk.

You could use a small inverter fed by the 12v and then have your choice of TVs, not 12v trucker stuff.
