Hi all,I purchased a 2005 Dolphin class A motorhome last year and it has been great. However today while cleaning it I noticed the electronics (DVD, Digital Box, etc.) cabinet had no power. My motorhome is plugged into a 30 amp outlet at my home. I used a tester and I am getting full power at the breaker box. No breakers are tripped. I thought for sure it was going to be a GFI, however I checked all of them and they are not tripped and all have power. There are 3 unless I missed one, but I don't think so.The outlets not working are in the electronics cabinet above the passenger seat, one outlet down by the floor next to the passenger seat, the rear bedroom outlet for the rear tv, and oddly enough, the refrigerator outlet.There was a 2nd, unused outlet in the refrigerator panel that worked, so I replugged into that. so at least my refrigerator has power.I don't know what else to check?Thanks, Mike

Yes, it was starting to get dark so I will really check tomorrow for a hidden GFI. I went RVing for a week over New Years with no issues. I was also thinking maybe a wire nut came loose in one of the outlet boxes and is affecting the others down the line. I'm supposed to go to Las Vegas tomorrow!!! UGH!!!

My only experience like this was when all the sockets on one side of of my 5th wheel quit working. Turned out that I had not pushed in the power cord to the outside of the outside of the trailer completely in and did secure the lock ring correctly.

The devices you describe leads me to the Inverter/Charger. It is very common for breakers to trip right on the converter itself. 110 volts passes through under normal conditions. The refer socket that was dead is probably for an ice maker section of it. The entertainment stuff would naturally be on the converter/inverter path.

I had this same problem in my Bounder. Turned out to be a tripped circuit breaker on the inverter. Some of the 120v outlets run through the inverter. None of the breakers in the panel were tripped but there's a push/pull (mine has two) breaker on the inverter. My inverter is installed in such a way/position that it was sort of hard to see. But, I couldn't figure out why I had no power to just certain things. So I started looking at EVERYTHING electric, just happened to "stumble" across the inverter breakers. That's when I saw one was tripped. We have the same kind/type of breakers in one of our airplanes.

I am looking for the inverter as we speak. It totally makes sense as all the outlets that are not working are the ones powered by the inverter. Now if I could just find the dang inverter !

Good luck on finding the inverter. I'm pretty confident that the problem is associated with it.

I would suspect, just a pure SWAG, it's pretty near where the shore power cord enters the RV. That's where mine is.

Ours has two breakers located on the generator itself, and they are a real pain to get to. Have to open hatch and remove cover to get to them. So guess what. Seems like I am always haveing to get out, and reset at least one of them. Just about anything unusal will trip one or both of them. A real pain!

My inverter has three circuit breakers. One for each leg of the incoming voltage and one for the charger portion of the inverter.

Your inverter should be in one of the back outside compartments on the curb side adjacent to your battery compartment. On the inverter are 3 circuit breakers, the 30 amp one is input power, 15 amp one for the micro wave and the 20 amp one feeds the tv and almost all other 120 volt receptacles, notice I said almost all the ones off the inverter, there are a couple powered directly from the main ckt bkr panel such as block heater and some rear bed room. I believe your problem is that 20 amp breaker on the inverter. Let us know what you find! If this doesn't fix it also let us know for further troubleshooting. Blessing ;Keith

Whit: have you fix the problem yet. I have a 2003 Georgrtown and i had the problem. I had 3 outlet that would not work. I got to pulling out each outlet. On the 3rd outlet when i pull it out. this was the type you push the wire in instead of screws to hold the wire in. My solution
was i look for months for an outlet. the outlet was osblete. what i did i by pass that outlet
and then all the others work. Hope this help.

I had a similar situation and it turned out to be a Patio outlet got water in it from rain, quietly burnt up and open circuited which caused downstream outlets to not have power. Really a tricky issue because everything I looked at was INSIDE the RV or in a basement compartment and was OK...never occurred to me to look at a patio outlet until someone mentioned it.

The inverter breakers did it to me once. One tool that I have found most useful when chasing 110 or 220 volt problems is an Inductive non-contact AC Voltage tester. Placed next to an insulated wire that contains 110 or 220 volts it will chirp. Available at most hardware stores and Home Depot.

Thanks all. I am in a RV resort in Las Vegas as we speak.
I looked in all the outside compartments and don't see the dang thing.
Could it be inside?
It's a Duracell 1000 inverter. As I said earlier all the outlets that don't work
are the same ones the inverter powers.
Now I just need to find it! While on vacation!
