127 yard sale

There are six major campgrounds in the Crossville area.
Crossville campgrounds. As this area is very popular during the yard sale I would get on the phone now to check for campsites. You may be disappointed if you don't. Of course there is always Wal Mart parking. Hopefully you have a toad as there really is no rv friendly parking along 127 and traffic can be congested. Right now it looks like tent city in and around town. It appears that the vendors are here in force this year.

The name of the State Park is Cumberland Mountain State Park. We stay there and go south on Highway 127 down through the Sequatchie Valley. Beautiful road and wide shoulders. Very nàrrow and crooked if you go north of crossville on 127.

We did that in 09. Was great. We stayed in a Tennessee state park just off of 127 and south of Crossville. Beautiful, well maintained place. It offers fully equipped cabins as well as the RV park. There are well kept recreation facilities, a nice swimming pool (huge) a lake , fishing , etc. A nice place in a nice setting. Built during the depression and they say the job Supt. was Alvin York. As far as the yard sale goes everything imaginable in any condition from rust to restored is available. It was a fun time. Might go again.
Back to the RV part of the park as best as I can remember they all had water and some level of electric service but they were limited on spots with sewer hookups. Fees are quite reasonable. Don't remember fees but we felt they were quite reasonable.

just a few in cville...never stayed there but was tolk ok./ but I live 100 miles south,,just below choo choo.on the lookouy mt parkway...great places there..one in fort payne city life...one at DeKalb.little river canyon...and a great park at the state park south of mentone..food seafood buffet on Friday night..15.00 all you can eat..gooood...lane
