Thanks for all of the help. I've also decided it's the converter, this rig came with a PDI which failed catastrophically right after we picked it up. We were leaving on a trip next day so I called PDI, they had me run through a few tests and decided it really was bad and overnighted a new one that day. I received the new one next day, installed it myself and it has been good ever since. The cooling fan has gone bad so I now have a 4" personal fan blowing on it and so far haven't noticed the lights blink. I probably have some damaged components.
