I have friends who use the Ford V-10 in pick-up trucks. The first one has over 300K miles on it, a few ignition coils and a water pump and it runs great. Second crew cab dually driven by his crew had almost 500K, just missed it by about 150 miles and the engine had a cylinder failure.
Big strong engines, power to spare, change your oil, it's about half way there. Now when you think about it, how many miles do you think you would put on your rig in a year. Everyday drivers average 12K.
If the price is right and you have maintenance records on all items with the rig then go get it and get those kids in there and start smiling.
