In 2005 I bought a 76 Class C on the Chevy van Chassis. Mine had a metal roof that needed work. I cleaned it with a wire brush, sealed any bad seams with plastic roof cement, and coated the whole thing with fibered aluminum roof coating. Same stuff you'd use on the barn roof. Used it for 5 seasons and stored outside. Never leaked.
You wouldn't happen to remember what exactly you used would you. I'm learning fast that if it's rv specific then it cost three times as much
