I just purchased my first motorhome.... 1979 Dodge Cobra 360ci 4 barrel. Its about 17ft long.There's lots of leaks up top so I'm taking all the panels out. I haven't checked the AC unit yet, just bought a generator to check it. My questions......Can I put a regular mini fridge in it? (no propane) cost too muchWhat's the best to coat and seal the roof?I can't find info on the chassis it says f30 or MB300. This doesn't come up when I search for parts. Is it a 3/4 or 1 tone?

Welcome to the forum.For roof repairs use Eternabond and Dicor Self Leveling Caulk. They're both great products. Use the self leveling caulk on horizontal surfaces.For coating the roof there are several products. Bus Kote , Kool Seal or any similar product can be used. Just make sure it's okay for rubber roofs if that's what you have on your Cobra.Don't hesitate to ask questions. There is a lot of info and experience available on the forum.Keep us updated on your progress.

Yes, a regular Home Depot type mini frig will work just fine. I have had mine for 3+ years. After being plugged in overnight the food stays cold, the water bottles I put in the freezer stay mostly frozen while I drive for the 5-6 hours I am on the road. These new frigs are well insulated.

The chassis OEM may have had a separate manual for smog emission gear. Requirements may have varied for different states. Contact OEM for advice.

Does anyone know about all this EGR and emissions stuff? Vacuum amplifier, canisters etc??? I can't find anything on folks disconnecting all of this stuff, there's vacuum lines everywhere for everything.

Was able to put up some more walls, tough not having any help. Mocking them up for now. I need to get the dehumidifier out, the floor got wet recently.

My ugly but sealed roof. I don't have plans to go up there. I'll be putting solar panels up there. This is my second time resealing it, tornado destroyed my first seal.

I just put the new AC unit up there, will install tomorrow tomorrow.

I haven't purchased anything yet, I've been looking at 400watt solar kits. I'll look into the battery and converter.

I bought US brand 6-volt golf cart batteries equivalent to Trojan 105's for $99 each instead of $150 each for T-105's. I replaced the old converter charger with a Progrssive Dynamics 45 amp unit. Modern converter chargers do not overcharge and boil out batteries .You still need to check electrolyte levels and add distilled water when needed to cover the plates.
