1982 Pace Arrow

My friend is wanting to get me a birthday gift. And it is a 1982 Pace Arrow. what kind of generator would it have,, and how are they built? tubular steel? aluminum or wood? it has a 454 and it is 32 feet long. Is it as good as a 1982 Holiday Rambler Imperial? or better? seems that 1982 is a good year for me. It was too. any info any advice? thanks

  • Yes we like it, it is a solid MH I bought it a month after buying a guys 64 deville and the MH was just siting in his driveway dirty and mold all over. so after a month of thinking about we went out and bought it. I bought some house cleaner from Home Depot that you put on the end of a garden hose, and started in the Am and finished that afternoon. It was really clean but heavy oxidation and then a week of cleaner wax and this year I am waxing her. It is almost new looking again and the interior is mint the shower&tub have never been used or the oven. They had a awing installed and never got to use it. We were the first to open it. I new the guy from a car club we are in. He had had a stroke and was selling off some of his toys.I have had the exhaust re-fitted from the mufflers back with stainless and had AirLifts put on the front and back makes a big difference in ride and sway. I want to get a set of Konis installed but right now no funds... The only thing we have done is installed 2 gas filters and a air cleaner and rotated a few tires. I know everyone says to change this and change that but the guy had a huge supply of parts under the couch.
  • Yeah I would rather have that. My HR has the blender. the motor on it looks like an industrial something that I can grind a moose's leg with!! do you like the motorhome? does it seem well built? Thanks

Yeah I hope so. He said what Genny it has ,, I forgot what it was. either a Marquis or an emerald I would think and emerald. They look well built to me. I love my Holiday Rambler. but I think I will love this one as well. Does yours have the blender built in the counter? I love the look of the Pace Arrow.

  • Wow, I have a 1982 Pace Arrow 30 foot 454 4 bbl.48,000 miles. It had 44,000 on when we bought last season and we put 4000 miles on and only had to replace the fuel filters. Mine has a Onan Generator that slides out if need be just over 200 hours. The weather is trying to change over to summer so I started waxing it the other day but it rained all day today. Hoping to get back at it tomorrow.
Hope you got a great one like us.
Tim, I wish I could upload my Pic's
  • What is better the Holiday Rambler or the Pace Arrow? How is the Pace Arrow framed? I never seen on camelback,, but the Southwind I have seen several that the overhang has made the back end droop or as I call it camelback.
  • Check for leaks. A small leak can cause a lot of damage if not repaired.
Check the age of the tires, they may need replaced.
