Makes it difficult to get flowing again with only small fuel pump vacuum. And, when the generator is not running, the fuel in the pick-up will drain back to the level of the fuel in the tank making it that much harder to draw back up.
Excellent point! The line is steel at the generator, but I would imagine that it's rubber back where it goes into the tank.
