1992 itasca fiber glass roof coatings

I have a roof with black from trees on it and if I do a good job cleaning I would like to put a coating on it theres spots the fibor glass coating is missing you can see little fiber itchy stuff lol .
can anyone point me in the right direction of newer products that work good for coating on my fiber glass roof . just so you know its not perfect after all these years but a coating might give me a few more years . I keep in a shed in winter months to its in ok shape .
thanks for any info .

I only have experience with the cheaper stuff like in my link...you get a good 2 years out of it..maybe more. Depends on how long you intend to keep it!

Thanks yes it costs alot more . But you know only
Having to only do it every 2 years is pretty awesome.
I'm one of them guy that will keep this motorhome long
As I'm around . Only want learn everything once . Not trade
And start all over again lol you learn this with age lol and having the oldest motorhome in campgrounds keeps people's expectations down lol

I would go to a boat shop and buy enough fiberglass resin to re-coat the thin spots then go over the entire roof with a coating like this. Once your RV gets older, this pretty much becomes an every 2 year or so thing..but hey, still way cheaper than a new motorhome! HD has a more expensive product that would probably be longer lasting and maybe keep you off the roof for 5 years. Depend on how long you intend to keep it!

You do have several options, an acrylic or latex coating would adhere well to a worn FG roof especially if the fibers are showing and the rest of the surface is oxidized. I would just clean it good as crasster suggested and apply either the Henry's, Kool Cote, bus coat etc. If the exposed fiber areas are not too bad you can spray or brush on white gel coat if the rest of your roof is white and in good shape. The coating will be about $100/5 gal and the gel coat would be 5 times that price or more.

X2, be sure to get it REAL REAL clean though. Power washer time.
