Multiple reasons for what happened. Stuck solenoid valve, failed oil pump, something let go in the torque convertor or maybe you're just low on oil. The difficult decision is to you pay out potentially several thousand or start over with a new to you coach.
If everything else is in good working order with the house side of the coach I would consider full replacement but first I would have the engine checked out. Oil analysis, cylinder compressor and leak down testing just to ensure that you won't be bolting a new transmission to a engine that might be in need of a rebuild.
