1994 Onan 7k diesel gen set.

Sorry if I had ask this before but I can find it if I did. when the get set is running the meter is sitting on the low side almost in the Red. like about to go lower then 110. its a 1994 Onan 7k diesel and I have 50 amp service but I am afraid to run more then 1 a/c. But pluged in the my 30amp at home the meter reads strong 115-120.so My Q is what should I be doing to the gen set other then changing the oil and filter's its very hard to get to so I really never did any more then oil change and filters. Thank you so much!
  • I'd check all the electrical connections for tightness, corrosion, and signs of overheating. I'd also use a good digital volt meter to find out what the voltage really is.
The generator may have an adjustment for voltage on the regulator. Do you have a manual for the unit? Maybe a service manual?
110v isn't bad. It was the standard decades ago. Does it drop further with the AC on? If not I wouldn't worry about it.
