We have a lead on a 1995 Bounder 34 J. It has 48,000 miles on it. It's been kept in a barn when not in use since the current owners bought it in 2005. It appears to be immaculate as far as I can see by pictures. The bad thing is it has the same tires as when this guy bought it from 2005 so they are in excess of 11 years old. Obviously those need replaced before I would consider even driving it the 3 hours back home. I am trying to decide what I would offer him if we go see it. He wants $11,900 which I think is too much since I have to spend $2,000 in new tires. I am thinking $8,000 would be more like it. First, be aware that there are a lot of Gypsy's posting ads for RV's they neither own or have access to. No matter how great this appears to be, do not send anyone any amount of money. If you like the coach and you think it would fit your needs then you need to find out where they are in Ardmore, OK they are and go see the unit. Let them know that you are going to need to take it to a local dealer for an inspection prior to purchase and that if the tires are really 11 years old they must be replaced.If they agree to all your terms then you likely will find that you are talking to a real seller and they will be happy to have to come visit. If you get the least bit of push back or if they say they require a deposit prior to you coming to see the unit (this is their actual goal) you have come upon a fairly common from of RV fraud. We actually saw a friends Prevost on the web for sale (they all have unique paint jobs) and gave them a call. They did not have it for sale but someone stole the pics from their Facebook page and put the unit up for sale!

That Chevy chassis is rated for 16,500# and will be close to over loaded with a full tank of fuel, 2 passengers and some clothes in the closet. If you fill the 100 gallon water tank (830#) you will be over loaded. It's rated to tow 3,500#.The independent suspension front end on that chassis is problematic, but fixable.The mid 90s Bounders were built well with decent materials.You can only run one roof top A/C when plugged in to shore power. But both will run when on the generator.That coach was delivered with a CCI 7719 LP detector that controls a solenoid valve to shut of the LP in case of a leak. It must be turned on for the propane appliances to work. The detector is located next to the floor in the galley.Not trying to condemn any thing, just want to make you aware. Richard

X2 on the Banks. It's a definite plus.

If it was stored in a barn, make sure everything works. Mice often live in barns and like to chew wires, etc..
Try everything.

And, check the roof for potential leaks. If it spends most of its time indoors there may be dried out caulk on the roof. The first time you take it in the rain you may find several leaks.

10 grand is an ok price for that MH

It has a P30 chasis. It was ment for potato chip delivery not rv. If your funds would allow I would look for a newer one on the WH chassis.

I don't think you'll "offend" but it is really a bit less. I would NOT start at an even number though, it's too round. I'd start at $8150.

It's sometimes if you say "I'll give you eight thousand" it's a short word and sounds much smaller when one pictures it.

I would say "I'll give you eight thousand one hundred and fifty dollars".

I would go to $9500.

I sold my 33 foot 1994 PaceArrow on a P30 chassis after owning it for 14 years two years ago for $11,500.00
It had brand new Hankook tires,henderson super steer bell cranks and rear trac bar. Got rid of the air bags in the front coil springs and replaced with henderson SS coil springs,ipd oversized front trac bar with poly bushings on front and rear,Koni shocks all around,front suspension had all new inner and outer tie rods,idler arm,steering dampner and steer safe. Doug Thourly ceramic coated hearers. Re coated roof.

If you are serious about it take it for a very long ride on the interstate.

I sold a 1996 Bounder 34J last year for $10k. It had several issues, jacks not working,several compartment doors needed new latches, severely faded. It had almost 60000 miles.
