1997 Residency
Does anyone have any information on this old motor home? Built by Thor on a Ford chassie ? WE bought it at a really good price and are renovating it but we have very little information on how anything works. We are newbies.

- One of the weak points of your F53 Ford chassis is the rear sway bar bushings.
The disc brake calipers need to be removed every 2 years and have the slide pins cleaned and relubed.
The ZF emergency brake assemble is bolted to the back of the transmission and needs to have the lube check when you do a lube, oil & filter. It holds 4 ozs. of ATF. The fill/check plug us high on the left side. 17mm socket.
Make sure the toe in is set to 3/32" to 1/8" toe in, for best handling.
Richard - this probably has the 16 inch rims, be sure your tires are good.
bumpy - I owned a 1994 Residency and loved it. However, it was a diesel pusher so I can't help with chassis but I might be able to help elsewhere.
