1998 Allegro Bus Kwikee steps

Sounds like you have lost one of the power sources.
Verify that the two fuses are good.
verify that the two grounds are good.

I have verified that the ground to the switch itself is good continuity test with multimeter.
Would you be able to point me to the fuses and other ground please.

The Magnet works off a Ground(negative) feed. When you open and close the door, the step light should come ON when the door is opened and go OFF when it closes. The White and RED wire at the 4 wire quick connect should have 12 volts when the manual step on and off switch is ON on your year model. From your description the problem is the 2 wires going from the magnetic switch. Doug

There is two grounds under the step. one large and one small.
Fuses for many are in the battery control center. One should be on chassis battery system and other on coach battery system.

Ps. No matter what I turn off, the kill switch as well...the under step ligh remains on.

If you hear the control module under the step click when you open and close the door then the motor/gear box is jammed up. You can remove the assembly and take it apart, clean, lube, and reassemble. Mine did this twice.

What color is your Kwikee control box?

Some OEM's wire that step light to a separate switch so you can turn it on and off without the step module controlling it. Doug

Sorry, Tiffin does NOT do that. So, odds are the WHITE wire is dead, THAT also controls the light, it also controls leaving the step extended and bypasses the magnet.
