1998 Georgie Boy fuse box

I'm trying to find the fuse for the heater fan in the dashboard.  The manual says it's on the wall, near the steering column.  It's not.  I've also checked under the seat and in front of the passenger seat.

Any other suggestions?

  • highly doubt it is a blown fuse anyway. Why not go right to the blower motor and test for power and ground

I bought the RV on Friday and the fan worked for about an hour on the drive home.  Hasn't worked since.

To get to the fan, I'll need to remove the dash.  I want to check the easy stuff first.

  • What cassis is the MH on? If it's a Ford F53 since it's a high amp fuse, it's probably in the power distribution box in the engine compartment. Since the chassis comes to MH manufacturers totally stripped down, it can be in a couple different places.

Yes, F53.  I found the power distribution box under the hood but can't tell which fuse does what.  I've check a few and they all look OK.

There has to be a 12V fuse box somewhere to run dash light, radio, etc.  The owner's manual says it's on the wall near the steering column but there's nothing there.  I've found references to 2 other places it could be, it's not there either.

I was hoping someone with an actual RV could provide a definite location.

That's an issue with RVs, especially older ones. Like I said, the chassis comes stripped down so the RV manufacturers put things in different spots. There is no "one place" that it might be. But it's likely under the dash somewhere, maybe not on the wall, it could be back up under the dash itself. Heck, it could even be in a bin somewhere, under the seat etc. Might be the passenger side.
