I second Doug's 1. and 2.!!! Another possibility is that it provides direct power to either the converter or to the refrigerator or to (_____) fill in the blank. If you have two roof AC units, it might power one of them.
Like Doug, I have no idea why, but owning a decades old coach and trying to help new owners of other similar coaches, it is amazing what has been done to the wiring of them for strange reasons.
A volt meter is your friend. Make sure you know how to use it, then use it to track it down. It will tell you a lot more than just turning switches on and off.
