1998 HR Vacationer - 2 Power Cords?

Is it a DP? Our Cat has a block heater you can plug in locate in the electrical compartment. It a 120 volt ground plug and there is an outlet for it right beside it.

Thanks for bearing me on this. I'm completely ignorant on these electrical issues. I THINK it has to do with the 12v side of the distribution panel per the picture. Lug B being a positive 12v.

But why the 3 prong plug?

We had Komfort class A
With 30 amp service, and secondary 15/20 amp duplex cord
It went through a switch in the closet allowing the use of the bedroom a/c on a separate circuit

House and front a/c on main , rear unit on 20

Use the be a pretty common mod, and had been talked about this summer by people want to run both roof top a/c

But the op says his is a 50 amp RV?

I wonder if it really is 4 prong 50 amp, or 3 blade 30 amp

Mine is wired to a dedicated recep on the bed pedestal so the DW can use her hair dryer with the AC on when we are plugged into 30A.

I second Doug's 1. and 2.!!! Another possibility is that it provides direct power to either the converter or to the refrigerator or to (_____) fill in the blank. If you have two roof AC units, it might power one of them.

Like Doug, I have no idea why, but owning a decades old coach and trying to help new owners of other similar coaches, it is amazing what has been done to the wiring of them for strange reasons.

A volt meter is your friend. Make sure you know how to use it, then use it to track it down. It will tell you a lot more than just turning switches on and off.

No, it's hard wired into the inside of the compartment.
The standard 3 prong plug is on the other end.

its for generator use
