1998 Rexhall Aerbus??

My husband just saw a 1998 Rexhall Aerbus for 12 thousand and would like to go and look at it. It would be our first and only Motorhome. I have not heard very much about this motorhome. Have any of you and do you have an opinion? We would be happy to hear it good and bad. We have forwarded some questions to the owner, and are waiting to hear back.

Thanks
  • Thank you all for your opinions, advice. Now if the seller would just contact us, so we can go through it and speak with him. When I am selling something I am on top of it, or it has sold and he is just not bothering with the rest of us...lol.
  • Hi All.

Well, I'll put it this way. We wouldn't trade our "REXHALL-AER-BUS" for any other Brade of Motorhome out there. We bought our 1998, for a "Once-In-A-Lifet Time" buy 6 years ago.

We did a complete "Inside Make-Over", and all New Flooring and got rid of the old style Curtain Boxes around all of the Windows, and put in "Real Curtains". Now everything is the way we wanted it to look. Its ours, not some "Cookie Cutter Motorhome for us. Doesn't even look like a "REXHALL" from the inside any more.

Replaced both old CRT TV's with "Nice Brand New LED TV's" We up-Graded everything that we wanted to do while we were at it. Even replaced every single light in our Motorhome with LED Lights, and that includes the Storage Bins as well. One of the best Mods I did was to order and install the "STEER-Safe" on our F-53 Chassis.

It doesn't matter if it is windy out, or Semi's passing us, we can alawys drive with just one hand if we choose to. Ours is a pleasure to be in and to drive. Its quite inside and we don't have to raise our voices when we talk to each other. Another big Plus in a Rexhall, is that they are built in "Steel Cages", so no worry's if you ever got a leak, no wood in the walls to rot or worry about.

We also before owned a "NASH" 5th Wheel Travel Trailer as well. Also built by Northwood Industries as well. We were Just as Happy with the 5er as well, for the 6 years that we owned that one two.

I do all of my own work on everything we have ever owned in the past 46+ years as RV'ers and Boon-Dockers. No RV Shops, or so called Service Techs for us.

Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill & our two small "YORKIE KIDS", who love to travel as much as we do. We haven't had so much as a singal problem at all with our 1998 REXHALL at all.

Thank you, we have heard back from seller, and hopefully will be seeing it this weekend. They have stated they are selling it through EYS Services...now I just have to figure out what that is..lol.
  • We had good luck with our Rexhall. Like Bumpy said the 98 was on the old ford chassis with the 460 engine and 16 in.wheels. From 99 on they used the newer Ford chassis with larger wheels and more capacity and the V10 engine.
