Your chassis maker (?Freightliner?) can give you the correct part number.
Pretty easy with side radiator (done from the rear). Much more difficult with rear radiator (done from bedroom or closet-- from above).
Actual placement depends somewhat on engine, but most are on drivers side of engine near the top.
Any tech can replace if you have the right part-- it ain't rocket science.
BUT, you may be jumping the gun-- why do you think the alternator is bad:
Have you checked voltage with engine running at alternator B+ terminal? At battery isolator alternator terminal in? At battery isolator lugs out to battery banks? Tell us what is happening!
