1999 Fleetwood Discovery DP Alternator
May have an alternator problem, were is it located is near the engine? If it is bad and has to be replaced, how much do they run. Has anyone changed the alternator themselves or it has to go to a shop...

Replaced engine batteries 3 weeks ago, and while towing my car both car and MH batteries went dead. Had to jump start and detached both car and MH and drove home. Yesterday had to run generator anti get engine to kick over. After running engine for about 10 minutes it seemed ok, but I still had generator running so it was not accurate. While running motor without generator I turned headlights on and voltage did not seem to change. That's why I think may be alternator.
