Try following the wire that's on the main starter solenoid and assuming that yours is on top of the starter, like mine. If not, it should be close by. This wire is coming from an aux start solenoid, I'm most sure.
In front of that, may be a plug in relay with a fuse in the circuit and in a box somwwhere.
Whatever the case, once you find the aux. you can test for voltage on one of the contacts and if it's present, then test for 12v on the coil, when trying to crank the engine. If not there, then you have a problem upstream. If it is in both places, then jump the main contacts.
The replacement of this heavy relay, solenoid or what have you, is rated around 70amps and have a habit of failing. Usually beginning with intermittent failure and progressing from bad to worse.
