My questions would be-how well do your (or your wife) know your daughter's friend? Has she been over to the house enough so that you know what type of personality she has?
Does she seem like the type of girl who would enjoy a week-long camping trip, which would include using a bathhouse to shower in?
Are you going somewhere where there are activities for the girls to do that will let them stay busy?
And, while I understand the concept of the girls being flexible and adjusting to you-what about-are you and your wife flexible enough to adjust to the noise, staying up late, mess that two fourteen year olds can make?
I understand your hesitation-this trip could go either way.
