2000 Powertech diesel not cranking fast enough to start.

Morning all. We have a new to us Country Coach Allure that has a slow starting generator. When starting generator we hit the glow plugs for a few then hit start. It turns over real slow like a dead...

Yes, four basic potential problem areas:

Batteries themselves

Loss of voltage due to poor connections or too small a gauge wire from batteries to generator

Starter

Motor or generator head problem causing excessive resistance to cranking. If you can get to the crank pulley, you can try turning it over by hand (actually wrench). Be sure you do this in the normal direction of rotation of the engine.
