The only real way to know is to measure your battery at their terminals using a multimeter without the motor running and you will read 12.6-7VDC if the battery is fully charged. Then start up your motor and this reading at the battery terminals should jump to 13.6VDC or more depending what charge mode the alternator is in. It could go as high as 14.4VDC
