2001 Winnebago engine cover

Question

I have a '01 Workhorse Winnebago Adventurer 35u and I can not find the 5/16 allen bolt that turns the latch holds the cover down. I am looking on the back vertical edge. I started in the center and now have carpet tore loose 4-5" in both directions. What am I missing ??

slide a screwdriver under it and work your way around,

Should be up front. Mine was.When we had one.

The manual shows it on the back rear edge. "Just" put the allen wrench through the hole in the carpet it says. There was no hole in the carpet. At least not that I could find so I started pulling the carpet loose.
