Big Katuna,
Do you by any chance, have the "Medallion Information Center" on your dash too? If so, did you by any chance glance at it while that "Check engine" light was on? If not, then maybe the next time it happens and, if you do have the Medallion Info Center on your coach, try and check that Info center to see if it tells you more of what the problem is.
Also, I'm thinking you should have the next version of the "MMDC" or, Multi-Module-Data-Computer too. In case you're not familiar with it, it simply is a gathering computer that takes in all the info from your engine's ECM, your trans ECM, and your ABS module, converts it to be able to be displayed on your gages. Also, there's a section inside that MMDC that through a data link called either the J1939, J1587 or, the J309 it sends any issues to your info center. I forgot which data link goes to that info center.
That J1939 Data link also goes directly to your diagnostic ports on both the rear and front of your coach so, if there's any codes stored, especially from your "Check engine", that's where you'll hook up to read them. It will be interesting to find out if any are stored and for what reason.
