2007 Airstream Interstate TV Antenna Wiring

Owners usualy hook up to CATV. Found they couldn't receive Over The Air (OTA) TV. It turned out the TV was obsolete (Toshiba Flat Screen with DVD, made in 2007, analog only). So we installed a Converter Box. Receives only one channel and the others aren't even snowy or pixellated.
Does anybody have a wiring diagram or any experience getting the antenna signal to the TV?

Done all of the DTV converter process above. This seems more like the antenna signal is being weakened by a bad connection, routing through something that doesn't need to be there (maybe a splitter), somebody messed with the arrangement of connections, etc.

And there's a "Mystery Panel" where two antenna terminals stick down through a plate on the ceiling and are connected with a little 8" jumper with F-Connectors on each end...
  • how to set up a DTV converter
    - Turn off everything.
    - "Connect the converter box to an antenna with an RF coaxial cable."
Connect the converter box to the television. ..alternative, the converter may also be connected to the television with one composite video cable and two audio cables instead of with the single RF coaxial cable if these connectors exist on your television"
    -Plug in the converter box.
-Turn on the TV and set it to channel 3 or 4.
-Power on the converter box with the converter box remote. If the converter box can be set to channel 3 or 4 using the on-screen menu, do it.
-Scan for channels via the converter box on "auto", "If you know that certain channels should be received but aren't picked up right away during the automatic channel scan, you can add them using the on-screen menu, and adjust the antenna until they are received."
    - If the picture is bad, move the antenna around.

I have heard that antenna "boosters" dont help if the antenna is close to the TV. There is more details and pictures at the website cited.

    If this doesnt work.............

I have a new LED LCD TV that replaces the 1992 original TV in my conversion van. I bought a very nice, flat TV antennae and frankly, I only rarely can pull in any stations at all. I compared what I could pick up with what my cousin could pick up in her small town ... same results. I got Dish satellite network at home, got a receiver for my van and an automatic satellite dish called a "tailgater". I call Dish network and give them the zip where I am, they reprogram so I get the broadcast channels and area news.
