If so did you do it all from the roof or did you have to pull the microwave out?
Assuming what you have is a base for an antenna, and another antenna can't be screwed back on the base, clean the caulking/sealant off the base and remove the screws securing the base to the roof. Just unthread the antenna lead from the base and install a new base and antenna.
If the stereo works fine the way it is, you might not need to replace the antenna mast.
