2008 Tiffin Allegro

We have sold our F-350 and 5'er and looking for a class "A" diesel. I have come across a unit that we really like....just looking for some opinions.

Its a 2008 Tiffin Allegro 35QBA, 300hp front cummins diesel. It has 23000kms and it beautiful shape. I have owned one class A before...an older holiday rambler. Actually took this Allegro for a test drive...and drove beautifully, lots of power. Are there any downsides with the front diesel as opposed to a "pusher". Only curious.

On edit...looking at the specs, the only real issue I see is that this particular unit has tanks that are alot smaller than I would have expected. Other than that...4 slides, and looks great.
  • Most of the MHs without ovens have a convection microwave. They will pretty much do everything a regular oven will do as long as you have power. Since we got the convection oven in our MH DW wants to replace the standard oven in our stick house.
  • The only drawback is the noise in the cockpit from a front engine diesel. The noise goes down as the engine warms up. Test drive it and see what you think. This noise is one reason you see so few front engine diesels. Doug

It didn't take long to find the unit in Airdrie.. a bit of an odd one I suppose. Bunks right in front of the master bedroom? No oven?

    but the price seems good.

I suppose, if anything should make you look elsewhere, it's the very idea of a bit of an odd one, and when you choose to sell it, it will be considered just that. But if you need bunks, it looks like a nice rig.

That's the one....any class a with bunks is pretty similar. They also have a new unit but it's pushing $220k so it's not going to happen. It really is a nice unit, and drives fantastic. No oven as the micro is also a convection unit.

  • None that I have heard of. Maybe a little noisy for what some have said. Good fuel mileage has been reported.
