2008 Winnebago

I found an '08 Winnebago that we really like the floor plan on. Only seen pics so far but before I make a full day trip to go take a look I was wondering if 49000 miles is a bit much for an '08. Its got the ford engine. Also what about the genny I haven't asked about the hrs is there some range that should be in as well?

Thanks for the input guys. One more question I had another dealer call me today and he has an '09 Gulfstream Independence 8359 FRED. Says he could get me very close to the same deal as the Winnebago. Whats your guys thoughts on camparison?

what type of roof is on the gulfstream. when I was looking at them years back they had rubber.

  • Gulfstream. Getting popcorn for this one. I personally would jump at it. We had a '98 Yellowstone (gulfstream) class C, incredible coach, class C with basement doors, fit and finish impeccable, but no slide. Aren't to many FRED owners around this forum, but the ones who actually own one love them. Curiosity is killing me, what kind of price are they talking.

  • at 6 years of age, it's about 8,000 miles per year. they certainly did a lot of moving around. as far as gen set, does it start/run/put out juice? when people here were whining about low hours on a gen set I decided that if I sold my RV myself that I would just let the gen set run in my driveway for the "required" number of hours in one bunch. :)

  • Use is better than sitting unused when it comes to used rv's. 49,000 isn't bad, keep in mind flex steel faux leather seats will look like******after 100 miles or 100,000 miles if not taken care of. Ford will do 250,000 easy, and the new 5spd torque shift trans is great.
