The area that we had sealed was right below the drawers in the bedroom to the back compartment. The guy just installed a piece of wood up under the drawers. That little area of storage under the drawers is still there, just not visible from the drawer area inside now. Should also help with the cold air.
Our next project is going to be to install a light in the rear compartment. We are going to do this ourselves (unbelievable) We are going to tie into the electrical plug in the bedroom on the passenger side of the bed with a wire and drill a hole into the compartment. We are using a 110 light for under a kitchen cabinet (nice and flat with a toggle off and on.) Planning on putting this in tomorrow. Ron is so tired of dragging a flashlight to that rear compartment. Since it is always plugged in at home or at an RV park and we don't drive at night, we are using a 110 light vs a 12V.
Our next project (if we can find an electrician -have contact 10 with no luck) is to install a dedicated 110 plug in the buffet area in the slide. We like to use an electric heater sometimes and the way it is now, we have to turn it off to run the microwave or anything else electric or we blow the fuse. I bought the 20 ampfuse, box, and 25' power cord and hope to be able to install it in the compartment under the front drivers slide. We may attempt this ourselves if we can't find someone. The wiring will have to be installed so as to go out and in with the slide (which is what scares us from doing this ourselves.) We are not all that handyman savy LOL
After reading all the instructions on the Thetford Style II toilet installation by Floridafrances, we are going to do this install ourselves. We tried to get in in to our guy, but he can not get to it before we plan to leave. Ordered the toilet, new gasket and elbow today. PLEASE pray for us that we don't end up "toiletless" LOL
Our new mattress was delivered yesterday. We had it made 63x74 The widest from closet to little cabinet that it could go and 74 long still gives us room to get by. Ron is 6'3" so that extra length is really needed. Now I have to do some modifications of some fitted sheets and mattress pad to get that size.
Well that brings us up to date on what we are doing.
Thanks for everyone's help and ideas.
