rondeb, thanks so much for the replies. But they created more questions because I know so little about all this.
3. Where did you get the alignment and the steering wheel "fix" done? And how did you get it set up for Winnebago to pay for the steering wheel part of it? When we mentioned the steering wheel issue to someone in our dealer's service department several months ago, he said we'd have to get Ford to do it and that Ford would say they couldn't. Huh??? Just haven't pursued it like we should but our first year will be up in early September and don't want to let this slip by undone.
We did talk to our local Ford dealer about doing an alignment and they said they didn't have the facility/ability to do it. They recommended a local company that works on big trucks. We talked to them and plan to get the alignment done in the next week or so. Don't know if they could fix the steering wheel, too. Or if Winnebago would pay for it, if they could. Will have to call them tomorrow and ask. Probably need to call Winnebago, too. And our local dealer again.
Why do things have to be so complicated?
1. Ok, I just re-read the part in our Owner's Manual about care of the exterior and found this sentence, under the care of decals section, which I've missed every time. "They should be treated like any painted surface on your vehicle." So there you go. Now I know what to use. Exactly what you said.
2. The info in the specifications we printed out from the Ford website about our chassis said we have a rear stabilizer bar. That's why I wondered if that was something different than a suspension bar. I'm woefully ignorant about these things. I need to do some searching in the forums and online so I can educate myself. Construction things - I'm good at those. Mechanics - not so much. :o
