Took the Vista in for an alignment this morning. Ford logo is now straight! We'll see how much, if any, Winnebago will contribute toward paying for this. Even if they pay zip, we're so glad we had this done before our trip. The man who did the alignment said it was off enough we'd have probably ruined our 2 front tires going 5000+ miles.
When we dropped it off, I asked him to please check under there and see if we had the front trac bar, and the front and rear stabilizer bars listed in the specs for our 2011 chassis. We do. Could this be why we haven't experienced much "wander" or excessive swaying? I think I'd still like to add a Safe-T-Plus or Davis Tru-Track for the control assistance in case of a blow-out, but don't know if we can get that done before this trip.
We managed to cram almost 40 square feet of R-19 insulation into the area behind the "cab" overhead cabinet. And when we sealed off that area in the rear storage to make our hamper below the bedroom drawers, we used a piece of 1/2" foam insulation and a piece of 3/8" plywood. The plywood was mostly to protect the foam from anything stored in that rear compartment. It will also up the R-value just a little.
Glad to see more happy 30W owners have found our thread.
