Today I put the blue paint tape above and below the border in the kitchen and used an oil based varnish and painted it on using a brush. Put 2 coats on and peeled the tape off immediately after putting the second coat on.
After it dried, I went out and splashed a little water on it and it just rolled right off. Hopefully this will save my kitchen border as I already took the bathroom border off.
