Well, was getting ready to head out camping last Friday, had the coach plugged into an outside outlet at our house to cool the fridge, but since it was so hot outside, I decided to run the air conditioner to cool it down. That tripped the circuit breaker to the outlet from the house. Turns out that it was only 15 amps, and evidently that wasn't enough for this heat pump style air conditioner. So......I disconnected from the house and plugged into the generator outlet, and fired up the generator. NO POWER!! Nothing! Took it to a local RV place that was getting ready to close, and they did some quick checks, plugged back into shore power, and everything is working fine, but there is no power to the generator outlet. Reset the circuit breaker on the generator a number of times, and still nothing. No error codes flashing on the generator, it starts fine and runs fine, but no electricity being produced to the plug. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any ideas on what it might be? I'm going to have to take it in and leave it to be diagnosed, which is really gonna put a crip in upcoming plans the next two weekends. So.....any help would be appreciated.
Just to let you know also, we can not run our AC and Fridge plugged into a 110 15amp plug. You can hear the AC really struggling which blows the circuit breaker. I can run the AC if I turn the fridge to gas and keep minimal lights on. We are heading to my sisters where we park in her drive and plug in at her house. I just bought the following to be able to pull power from 2 different circuits at her house. This will provide you with more power. I have also bought 2 50' 30 amp extension cords to use.
Power grab adapter
