2010 and 2011 Winnebago Vista 30W Owners

When you say that the 10 inches won't go under, could you explain further. We just had a new mattress made which is much thicker than 10 inches and is 63x 77. We would hope that if we trade, that this would be useable. By what you are saying, it seems that the mattress has to go under something to bring the slide in (is that correct) or is it something on the sides that it needs to go under?
